State Tournament Cancelled

We are very sad to inform you that the 2021 State Basketball Tournament has been cancelled because of no approval being received from the ADH (Arkansas Department of Health). We considered some alternatives, but nothing proved to be viable in this situation. We remain hopeful that we will be able to get back to our normal State Tournament format next year, and pick back up where we left off.

Home Game Guidelines

Here are our guidelines for home basketball games at Peak Performance. Please enter the building through the doors on the east side of the building (facing Wal Mart). Face coverings will be required for all person’s present, except for children under the age of 10 years old. Athletes and referees will not be required to wear a face covering while actively participating, but otherwise they should wear one. Coaches will need to wear face coverings during the game. Everyone will have their temperature checked as they enter the building. There will be a sign-in sheet for everyone to sign, so Peak will know who to contact in case of someone coming down with COVID-19 that may have exposed other individuals at a game. Family units can sit together on the bleachers, but everyone else should sit six feet apart. There is seating capacity for about 60 fans, so approximately 30 fans per team. Please keep the attendance to immediate family only since we have limited capacity. We will Facebook Live the games on our Facebook page, so they can be watched by those not able to attend the game in person. After the game is completed everyone will need to leave the building, so that the building between can be cleaned between games. Please exit through the doors on the south side of the building (facing Dave Ward Drive). Then the next group will be let in to watch the next game, so please just attend the games in which you have a child involved. Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we do our best to provide the opportunity for our children to play basketball this season!

COVID-19 Update

COVID-19 Update
We continue to monitor situation and adjust as things change. We submitted a plan to the City of Conway on how we would have volleyball practice in the Don Owens facility under the guidelines published by the Department of Health, and it was approved. As a result, volleyball has been practicing there for the past two weeks. We are now working on a plan to submit to get approval for us to have volleyball games at Don Owens. The guidelines are fairly stringent, so prepare yourself for a different type of game environment. It looks like we will need to limit the number of people in attendance at the games due to the size of the gym. As a result, we will try to Live Stream the games on Facebook, so that others can watch. Again, we anticipate that things will be pretty fluid in the near term, but hopefully it will settle down into our normal routine after that. We really appreciate your patience as we make adjustments on the fly.

Facebook Live Stream Help Needed
As mentioned earlier, we would like to live stream all of our volleyball home games at Don Owens. Can we please get some volunteers that have the needed equipment and know-how to do this for us? Please reach out to Gordon at 501-891-2323 if you are able to help out.
